The Fatherhood Initiative focuses on fathers impacting their child’s education

The fathers receive the same training from The Family Literacy workshop series but in a totally male only context

Fathers are taught by fathers who also faced the same challenges fathers currently face

Fathers spend a weekend retreat addressing issues, challenges, and struggles fathers face and what is needed to overcome the challenges

Fathers are also trained in the Certified Trainers Institute so they too can become Trained Trainers to train other fathers and become coaches
A principal states; “D.A.D.S. was the most successful parent training program we have ever invested in. The dads learned how to actually work with their children to improve their reading fluency. Elizar had such rapport with our dads. They wanted more! . . . “
The fathers we serve are hard working, faithful, and consistent providers for their children and families. This dedication and commitment creates a void in the father's support and impact on their child's education along with supporting the child's mother in her efforts to do the same in impacting the child's education.

D.A.D.S. workshop series focuses on affirming their existing role but to expand it to be just as engaged in their child's education and lighten the load of the child's mother as they engage in their child's education.
