This phase of development is at its embryonic, infancy, and experimental stage.  Keep in touch to gauge progress in its full implementation.

  • Educational, medical and financial institutions exists
  • Legal, law enforcement, and judicial entities exists
  • Emergency and first respondents are always vigilant
  • Families and individuals interact with the above entities
  • People go to escape, recreate, recharge and enjoy nature
  • People go to refocus, retreat, discover, be challenged
  • People confront a different reality, elements of surprise, fear
  • Many elements of community found in their permanent systems are applicable in the temporary system
  • Elements taught, acquired, skills, insights, values, perspectives, can influence, change and impact permanent systems
  • As a child, the Executive Director and founder was plucked from the concrete jungles of Chicago and thrust into a totally different experience and environment.
  • This experience forged his desire to be immersed repeatedly into this new venture and experience.
  • In his adult life, he pursued these opportunities in organized camping ventures to transform his life and to impact others.
  • In his college and graduate school experience, he immersed himself in many transformative experiences that involved the outdoor experience; including wilderness leadership programs, group inititatvie excercises, survival experiences and the use of the outdoors in transforming lives and their community.
  • In his career, he successfully, as Director of Programs oversaw  how organized camping programs, targeting inner city, poverty children and families to acquire the valuable skills to transform community and be change agents
  • He designed, developed and maintained various strategies, programs and initiatives that effectively utilized temporary systems to have a direct impact on their permanent systems.
  • Now with L.P.C., the lessons learned, the strategies implemented with effect and success, are the intended outcomes for L.P.C. and the families it serves.
  • In its embryonic and infancy phase with a few families, they are experiencing and validating the value, importance and changes already happening in their lives.
